As with the singles, I need to sit down and figure out a matchmaking system that would work with this. If anyone else has ANY tips for getting this off of the ground, let me know! This is the ultimate street fighter 4. This game adds 10 new characters bringing the total roster to All characters now have two ultra combos to choose from. There are 4 new game modes added as well. Allows a player to open up a lobby room of up to 8 players can play against each other. This allows two players to battle and the other 6 to watch the action. This is a vast improvement from ST4 because it only allowed you to play one player at any given time.
This meant you had to always search for a new opponent which could get irritating.

Frame data can also help with frame traps. If you don’t know what a frame traps is; it’s basically using a move on shield that appears unsafe, but it’s safer than it appears. This allows for you to follow up with a move to punish your opponent for trying to punish a safe option. Btw, a move doesn’t have to be completely safe on shield for it to be a frame trap it can also be slightly unsafe.
For example; lets say that Fox’s U-tilt is -1 on shield after the move is blocked, the opponent can act for 1 frame before Fox has recovered from it using U-tilt but can be be canceled into Shine at anytime let just also say that Shine comes out on frame 1. Because of this, when your opponent blocks U-tilt; they can either roll, spotdodge, grab, or do an OoS out of shield option; but they also have to worry about shine because it can be canceled at any point and since it comes out on frame 1 in this scenario, it beats all of those options.
So if you opponent tries to punish you for doing U-tilt, you can punish them for making that mistake. Just to reiterate, this is just a scenario for a frame trap. Mon Nov 24,
The gameplay is everything I hoped it would be. It’s a bit broken, but that’s part of its charm. Its got a lot going for it, but the online component of the game is pretty baffling. For a game as fast as this one, lag is a huge concern. I’m also not going to mention the near-broken state of finding ranked matches outside of using fight request.

AbelXSteve was fun, but they have too many bad matchups which makes it really hard to win in this game. I think Steve is pretty bad overall, the only thing he has going for him is damage and people will get used to not pushing buttons when he is in range. RyuXRaven are both versatile and can handle most characters on their own. Their tag combos are also really damaging.
I think they are two of the best characters in the game. I may switch Ryu out because he is a bit boring but I need a character with strong anti-air and good zoning tools. So characters who can build meter and create damage without using too much meter will be strong. This is character-specific of course because some characters have great options with meter, but I have a feeling a large part of the metagame will revolve around these concepts.
I also have to admit that this game is a lot more interesting than I thought it would be before I played it, and I’m enjoying the decision-making situations a lot. This is a really fun team because of the high-damage combos and it destroys people who can’t play smart defense. I used Abel on point because I feel he does a pretty good job at covering some of Steve’s issues, such as being able to: Make people press buttons within cr MP range -which they usually tend to do after fighting Abel at close range for some reason- and you can do massive damage.
I generally find myself often swating people out of the air for great counter damage, with both characters.

The online server is so bad that it difficult just getting 6 people to get into a room and then stay connected. Another problem with this game is that many trophies are known to glitch and can cause a second playthrough. If you dont run into any of these glitches then the game is pretty enjoyable if you like Assassin’s Creed games. However when it came time to go for the platinum this game became a pain in the ass.
There is alot of stuff to do and in order to achieve the platinum you have to do everything.

I could count my high school friends on one hand — possibly because i wore headphones through the majority of my senior year. Yet somehow my phonebook filled up to a hundred names just for being an SHGL arcade regular. I still expect to run into at least fifty of these people every year i can make it out to Evo or any other major community event.
Introduce yourself to everyone there, ask questions when you need to, and most importantly, step up and play your best regardless of your skill level. Think big picture, not short-term. Learn as much as you can from watching everyone around you. Set realistic goals for yourself and tackle them step by step. Every night, try to identify one troublesome tactic he relies on and find a practical counter for it. The last thing you want to do is alienate someone for being too good.
Then there will be times when you end up playing the same guy thirty matches in a row. The mood is bound to get tense at least once during that period. Another approach to these marathon sessions is to play your main character for five or so matches, then switch off to some random oddball character for one match.
